great bed, pillow I think would have been nice for the category of the hotel to have a pillow menu. cost of the breakfast apart from the cost of the room did not seem fair to me, I must say that the breakfast is very good, cost is a bit high.
I had a small incident with the management of the hotel that was cured but they were very tense moments, because of a mistake on their part, was the following. I made the reservation with a debit card from my company and next day they charged me, I left and paid for the breakfast that was not paid, hotel management told me that I had not paid anything, until after more than 45 minutes they saw that if they had paid, I showed them the account of my company that the charge was made, at first they did not believe it, had to intervene a person at the reception who knew Spanish and finally we solved the incident. truth was very unpleasant, even though I showed them that the card was charged to my company's account, was the one that paid for the stay.

We had a lovely stay during New Year's at this beautiful chateau. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with good suggestions for things to do in the area. The rooms were spacious and well-decorated, giving us a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The location was also ideal, with easy access to local attractions and restaurants.
There were a few negative aspects that detracted from our experience. there was no on-site restaurant or even snack options in the evening, making it feel more like an expensive bed and breakfast rather than a fully-equipped hotel.

Great location as a base to explore the Loire Valley, with a short walk to town and numerous restaurants. Friendly staff and spacious, clean rooms. The hotel's beautiful interior and grounds were a sight to behold. The breakfast offering was decent with fresh fruit and a cooked option. However, the hotel lacked attention to detail and did not live up to its advertised five-star status. It felt more like a high standard guest house rather than a luxury hotel.
Overpriced and lacking in amenities. The bed was uncomfortable with noticeable wear and tear.

The Chateau is a truly beautiful place to stay, furnished and decorated in authentic belle epoque style, with incredibly spacious and comfortable bedrooms. The atmosphere is unique, and Thierry and Yolaine were such welcoming, charming and friendly hosts - they did so much to make our stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. Wonderful!

A unique combination of grandeur and homeliness. Helene & Terry provide a wonderful welcome, and always had time to chat about the Chateau and Saumur.

Great location, near to the town centre, making it easy to get around and explore the area. Beautiful grounds and well-appointed rooms with lovely views. The breakfast was good, with a nice selection of food to choose from. The private parking on-site was a bonus.
Some staff members were not as welcoming as expected.

Beautiful building in a very pleasant town. The owners of the hotel were very kind and welcoming and the stay felt like a visit to a home rather than an impersonal hotel stay.

This chateau/hotel has a wonderful air of elegance with charming public rooms. Set in its own grounds their is a feeling of complete privacy. The hard working proprietors are most friendly and gracious. Secure car parking is within the grounds behind locked gates. There is a buffet breakfast which is extensive, other meals are not provided but there is a large choice of restaurants in this lovely town. Prices may not appeal to the budget traveller, but I would recommend spending at least one night there for the experience.
